The company was ordered to reimburse $262,500 to cover the investigation costs and pay $700,000 in civil penalties. Additionally, the company was ordered to contribute $162,500 toward funding college-level science courses focused on air pollution and quality management.

District Attorney Jeffrey Rosen emphasized the gravity of the situation. The D.A. stated that stringent asbestos regulations exist because asbestos exposure can be fatal. He made it clear that they will keep prosecuting companies that take shortcuts and put the health of workers, senior citizens, and others in senior living facilities.
